Viagra Dosage

Viagra is available in different dosages and is to be taken only when needed, 30 minutes before actual sexual activity. To learn what dosage is right for you, first consult with your doctor on taking Viagra in general and to define the right amount of drug in your particular situation.

Viagra won't result in an erection automatically as you have to be sexually stimulated in the first place. Give the drug some time to take effect, usually about 30 minutes. Also try to avoid eating or drinking alcohol when taking the drug as it may affect its absorption.

Viagra warnings and precautions

Do not take Viagra if you are currently taking any drugs based on nitrates (used for treating chest pain) as it will result in dramatic and dangerous drop in blood pressure, which is likely to result in fainting, heart attack or stroke. Also make sure to not use Viagra with any other erectile dysfunction drugs both prescription-based and herbal formulation as it may lead to adverse reactions. Do not take Viagra with alcohol as it will raise the risk of experiencing the drug's negative side-effects.
